It would not matter one bit how many of their mothballed mines they brought into production. They only thing that they would accomplish is bringing to market a good that they have already sold. As a matter of fact by the time they could get the production going, they may have to sell the gold at a loss if the price of gold continues to move against the price they sold the gold forward. Barrick continues to be the pre eminent dog in the gold sector.
