[" I doubt Bush will take the chance of becoming the world pariah"]
...that's a point to where lot's of money is either going to be made, or lost.
Imho; GW Bush is literally on a "Mission from God" and I choose & use those words to make an important point.
We've niavely sat here in the USA post the Fall of the Iron Curtain & end of the Cold War; thinking we no longer have a serious threat to US domestic security.
While we have no match militarily, or economically; terrorism has emerged as the new millenium's threat to America. Given where science & technology have come over that last 20 years; genetic engineering, cloning, bio-tech, hi-tech and the now 2nd generation of foreign scientists , engineers and physicists that we've educated here in the US that come from anti-American & fundamental-fanatic origins; it's niave to not think that this is an important turning point in Global History.
Make no mistake about it; George Bush realizes what the threat is, as well as his place in history.
He literally & quite rightfully imho; has made it his Mission from God; to stamp out this rapid emergence of Global Terrorism and establish a functioning Homeland Security System, protecting the Nations infrastructure.
Nothing is going to stop him, not re-election risks, not the UN, nothing...
Look at the criticism thrown at the Bush Administration over their lack of proactiveness in preventing Sept 11th.
What do you think would be the criticism level toward the Bush Administration if we fail to go into Iraq and then suffer another Sept 11th level domestic terror event; let alone a bio, or dirty nuke event related to Al Quaida, or linked to Saddam ? Or, nukes being set off in key spots in the ME Oil Fields rocking the global economies ?
If Bush Sr had gone into Iraq and removed Saddam - we wouldn't be facing the threat level we are and perhaps wouldn't have suffered Sept 11th.
The son is going to correct his fathers historic mistake - not a chance in hell he won't.
We're going...done deal as it's not only the right thing to do... but, we can't afford not to go. |
