If drunk drivers were only killing themselves ...drunk drivers kill many other unrelated pedestrians, other (sober) drivers, and their own passengers (inebriated or otherwise).

I agree with your thoughts on all three of your posts. To me the above point you made is the most important issue.

Personally I would like to see the priviledge of obtaining a driver's license much harder to obtain. I'd also like to see renewal of a driver's license more difficult and not just a "routine" matter. IMO there are quite a few senior drivers (as well as teenage drivers) who do not have the skills necessary to be driving a car.

I have no problem with the drunk driving legislation. I'd love to see the use of cell phones while driving restricted. IMO people who are talking on cell phones while driving are just as dangerous as drunk drivers.
