here is key point in the fine print on the dividend plan that if it becomes a reality must be noted.
It is this, those companies that pay out dividends but do NOT, in any particular year, pay taxes, will then have those dividends paidout to shareholders TAXED at the present level.
So beware.
If this dividend plan goes into effect preferred stock will be come much more available and popular.
But Munis will suffer.
If passed it would cause MAJOR changes in fixed income investment.
