"Christine, It's pretty sad you don't understand the difference between the planetary
ecosystem and a local environmental problem.

Look, you can have your anti-feelings Greenpeace thread."

Michael, I agree that there is a difference between the planetary ecosystem and the almost extinction of the animals in Africa. What I was trying to comment on is your point that there will always be plenty of warning time to solve the planetary ecosystem problem. I think that like what is happening with the gorillas and the other animals in Africa, it SEEMED that there were problems but a lot of people were doing everything they could, and it might be possible to save the animals from extinction. Then one more thing happened, a small war that has gotten out of control, and because the situation was already FRAGILE, maybe everything is lost.

The planetary ecosystem is already fragile, in my opinion. Once almost everyone agrees with that, if it is true, the situation may be so far gone that things may happen quickly, at the end, and there may not be time to save it. I think I disagree with you that there will be plenty of warning time--there have already been plenty of warnings.

Why do you use Greenpeace like a dirty word? What is it that you object to about them?
