Mish, I was more or less addressing an issue that surfaced in the news a week ago about personal information on a hard drive. If you have something you want completely gone on a hard drive, you need to overwrite it 36-times for it to be non-recoverable. I agree that only people perpetuating fraud or crime would probably need to be concerned about this.
