But it would be funny to see what happened if OPEC took the current price of oi in dollars, repriced it in Islamic Dinars exchangeable into gold, and demanded payment in the dinars. The price of gold would double overnight (I think) and consternation would rule. Oil shipments would cease. Gold would rise higher. Oil within the United States would go past $100 a barrel in a week. The dollar would drop by 25% in a week against other currencies.

Just guessing at a highly unlikely scenario. But yours truly would be OK.
