Sergio-AIPN was never called at the desk, and even if it was, we have been playing it for several weeks(those of us who are) I nearly begged DT to call AIPN, but he wasn't interested, and so I went it alone. I made over 12% that day on AIPN alone, and I have continued to bring in at least 2.5% every day since. Regardless wether this issue is a legitimate company or a papermill, I don't care. I am making money trading it, and that is the bottom line.
I only do DD when I am going to ride the issue up and stopout with profits only to take advantage of the pullbacks. I have read the PR and have contacted the Wall Street IR firm that was hired by AIPN.
I based on there past 10k, I don't see where they have been jumping from one business to another. I spent 6 months to an in depth historical study on the oil business from Pennsylvania and Spindaltop to todays Mulitnats, and it is rather unusual for an international oil company to only concentrate on one aspect or sector of the business.
As far as their asphalt production in Louisiana, they recently received 1.5 million in a court settlement against GOLD LINE Refining for non payment of lease fees etc. That was nearly everything they had set out to get(1.8mil) Although I have had contact with IR in New York, I never asked about the plants current status, or if they have found a partner to continue operations. This does not concern me.
What interests me is that fact that the Kazak government has been able to salvage a precious piece of the Caspian pie on their terms. This would have been virtually impossible dealing with one of the major multinats. The seven sisters have been in foreign diplomatic relations for decades. They know how to put the squeeze on countries who don't play by their rules. The sole reason for the existance of OPEC is because of this very reason.
So the Kazakstani government is in the driver seat on this one, and AIPN is just the servant albeit a grateful and ambitious one. So if you were the CEO of a small international oil co, and you had the opportunity to swim in the same waters as the big boys, what would you do? Take the chance. |
