Actually KPMG were the company's long term auditors that just refused to sign off on New Tel's accounts for the 2001-2002 financial year. Deloitte were the accountants...
Martino was a managing partner of Deloitte in Sydney when his firm earned 4 million in fees from New Tel. During this time Martino served as a New Tel director and also sat on New Tel's audit commitee. Deloitte was also partly responsible for implementing Malone's "AOL of China" scheme. (Waiting for judgement day).
