JP Morgan? Weren't they short a whole lot of the yellow stuff?

Well..... if the economy is going to be in such horrid shape with unemployment that high, then it's unlikely that oil will remain high due to lower demand.

Retailers won't be any good.

PC sales won't pick up.

Hospitals will probably have to cut back on their biggest expense... namely employees. Course there is a grass roots effort to legislate mandatory staffing levels which will only cut into earnings. Hospitals are in much better shape to squeeze their own suppliers (drug companies, medical equipment and supplies), not to mention the government who wants to cut their own spending on medicare/medical.

Autos probably would be bad and I already think there will be a glut of relatively newer used vehicles that will be available.

Housing would be no bueno if unemployment were that high and that would trickle down to the banks, realtors, title insurance, etc....

So..... lets see........... what we got left? Beer companies or Soup Kitchens?

I'll make a prediction.......... Merq will be a tech winner. It's certainly not cheap here but I think they're an infant. So....... from a fundamental side, I think Merq is fine. The only question on them is as always......... valuation.
