Roger, I doubt that #2 is what Greenspan will say. The fact is, the banking industry is NOT ready. Why do all of our credit cards have 1999 expiration dates?

I think that what he will say is that the industry needs to take strong measures (see my previous post).

And, being a prudent man, (it's his job to be prudent, ya'know - he is our head prude :) ) I suspect that he will warn that some problems will be expected to occur, and that the industry must be vigilent to side-effects and be prepared for post-event mitigation.
