In the enterprise arena (not storage) microsoft has been unsuccessful. It is their achilles heel. They never really made inroads against unix at the high end, Oracle has gained against sql server and BEA and IBM have taken the application server space which is the high growth area for enterprise software. I'm not quite sure what these msft products are supposed to be, sounds like some extensions to their OS as well as a takeoff on vrts functionality, so perhaps in the context of their own OS's in the enterprise this will dominate but as competition for vrts standalone I suspect they will suffer the same fate that sql server did against Oracle fwiw. At any rate it sounds like it is a non-issue for brcd. Lizzie
