John, Last post for me re this topic. 1. Most attendees of the demo were good folks. 2 Some Islamic militants are terrorists. Many support them however unfortunatly. 3. Many hard left folks are stalinists, not so much in ideology but in terms of the fascist political system they support. I said hard left john. 4. The civil rights movement was a huge success because it was not coopted by the extreme leftists(SDS). Yes liberals and democrats led the way and i was proud to be one of them as i take it you are. 5. Yes crazies on the left and crazies on the right. You may want to check to see if you have a blind spot on the left side. I know a good optometrist. <g> 6. HHH lost to nixon because of his blind stupid devotion to LBJ(until the last week of the election)when he narrowed the gap. 7. McGovern was a joke and thats where the dems(and you i suspect) went off track. The whole primary system that replaced the convention system skewed candidates to the extremes. We stopped getting good centrist candidates particularly the dems--save Southern governors who i wont get into here. So lets go back to on topic before ken kicks us both off. mike
