I originally posted to dispute your statement that: There was no Northern Alliance before the US pulled them together

Even if Masood founded the Northern Alliance in 1999 your statement: I don't know if you followed what was going on in Afghanistan before 9/11, but there was no talk of no "Northern Alliance". is patently incorrect.

Also your statement: There were a few groups with little to no coordination among them is also incorrect as the Northern Alliance was very well coordinated by Masood.
