The absurdity of some of the pieces Scott posts in the name of alternative points-of-view, deserved demonstration.

Well, just to get back into combat mode here, the Herman piece hardly matched a rather regular round of off the wall stuff we get from the further right.

But I can support a thread policy that all views, so long as they are stated in a civil manner, can and should be posted. Or else, we have to start fine tuning which essays are acceptable.

Bottom line. Ken does a good job of walking the fence line on what's acceptable and what's not. I disagree with some of his cut points but (a) it's his forum not mine and (b) it works.
