Noel, "The main thrust of US politics today is power to control oil and a reduction of civil rights." Understand the oil part which is the basis of your argument for all parties discussed--- US/GB/Russia and France. I dont get the reduction in civil rights. I live here and have noticed any reduction in such rights. Are you talking about anti-terror legislation? If so it seems to me folks are being picked up just as frequently in France, GB and Germany as in US. Am i wrong about that? Mike
