Optima++ is a client-server development environment written by Sybase's Powersoft Division. Its is a visual environment based on C++ and uses a lot of drag-n-drop and GUI painting features. It is supposed to be easier to use than straight C++ and faster to develop with. I saw a demo of it and it looked pretty good. But I talked to a guy who looked closer at and said it has problems. I think they have a long way to go and will not be a major factor for a while. It is a version 1.0 and I remember PowerBuilder 1.0 and it was VERY buggy... Pat
