Tim, you can do better than that. We thwart people all the time from doing things that aren't illegal. The offended party would have to sue and demonstrate harm. I suppose a few might do that. Is that a good reason for making it illegal? Don't think so.

I understand about the temporary emotional distress. I dealt recently with my father's reaction to a medical problem that wasn't all that horrific and most likely temporary. I put my efforts into trying to make him not give up, at least not before it was known if the problem was permanent, and in doing things to pick up his spirits.

Maybe we should make depression illegal. Makes as much sense as making suicide illegal. <g>
