Completely logical.

i don't know of a single other activity where doing something is legal, but helping somebody do it is illegal. Maybe people here can think of examples, but I can't.

If I have the right to commit suicide, and I agree with you that I should, then I should have the right to have someone assist me.

Nothing else makes any sense.
