i hate the way they treat customers--i got a slick ad in the paper (glossy paper) that said "right now double the memory and free shipping " and in big black letters--offers good through 1/15/03
i call an order the computer--the guy taking the order doesn't know anything about the ad--he talks to his supervisor and they agree to honor it--i order it and my card won't go through--i call my bank and they said that the guy ordering it was putting in the expiration date as 03/05--instead of what i was telling him--05/03--and let me tell you--i had already spent a few hours between talking to dell and my bank--anyway he can't get the card entered right --so i say i'll go online and order it myself--having already spent hours--i order it in 10 minutes--and then realize i'm not getting the free shipping or the double memory--so i call back the next morning and leave a message - no one ever calls me back-and i got busy and the next day i call and they tell me its already been shipped and since i didn't put in some kind of number i wasn't going to get what i called to order in the first place--so i refused delivery--after talking to 3 supervisors and wasting a lot of time--so i email them--they really don't like talking on the phone and as a kibbutz i cc michaeldell@dell.com--the next day i get 2 calls from 2 different people from michael dell';s office--i wasn't in--this was yesterday--i called back and am still waiting to hear back from them--
i just won't do business with a company that treats its customers like that--and i went to there forums--and there are people with similar problems--it just looks like there not consumer friendly
quite a rant--sorry!!!!!!
