Microsemi Expands Board Tuesday January 21, 9:07 am ET WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--Microsemi Corp. expanded its board by one seat to eight directors and proposed three new board nominees, according to a filing Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange commission. Microsemi hadn't disclosed any changes to its board since Philip Frey Jr. retired as chairman in December, when it named director Nick Yocca acting chairman. In the SEC filing, semiconductor provider Microsemi said the three nominees are William Bendbush, William Healey and Harold Blomquist. The three directors not standing for re-election this year are H. K. Desai, Carmelo J. Santoro and Robert B. Phinizy. They were part of a seven-person slate nominated by the company last year. Microsemi shareholders on record as of Jan. 10 are eligible to vote at the company's annual meeting, set for Feb. 18. -By Robert L.
