The misunderstanding about this is not unusual. "Back End" is most widely understood as test, assembly and packaging or, as we and many others call it, TAP. SEMI is trying to move away from the use of "Back End" to describe TAP. During the the last few years "Final Manufacturing" has been widely used to describe TAP. In fact, that's what they call it in their Express Reports.

I doubt if we will see book-to-bill ratios for FEOL and BEOL.

Hmmm.... Unless..... Everyone was doing wafer level packaging.... Then they might have to give it consideration.
