Re: If AMD exits the mp business, wouldn't that increase Intel's concerns over FTC?

If AMD gets into serious financial trouble, IBM is the most likely candidate to take over the company. AMD and IBM are now jointly developing the next generation process for AMD's and IBM's chips, and IBM may be start acting as a foundry or second source for AMD's hammer. A number of AMD process engineers have already moved to IBM's Semiconductor Research and Development Center in East Fishkill, New York.

If IBM buys AMD, Intel's FTC worries would be over.
