The prophesy of God taking on the human form , and entering the "earthly sphere" , to take on a physical body to rectify the wrongs of men and shed new light, and revitalize the world is an old prophesy , not exclusive to the old testament or Jesus at all. It is found clearly written in the oldest scriptures of the Hindu. (the oldest in the world)

Mars, Christ brought a different knowledge and way of worship. Not in man made laws of the Old Testament which you persevere in quoting. The Old prophesied the New and foretold the coming of Christ in shadows until Jesus appeared physically to start his ministry.
Well most of the forms of worship incorporated in the new "Church " were borrowed from earlier religious rituals iconography and ceremony . Even down to burning candles and incense & the depicting of saints with golden halo's , that was taken from the Buddhist religious art showing an effulgent light(halo) about the Buddha's head . The word scripture has it's root in Sanskrit , as does the word "God" and diety. There is little uniqueness in the prophecy of a Messiah , not even the "resurrection", virgin birth , or any of the miracles & healings being new.(they were all written and inserted in later you know )
The earliest depictions of "Christ" was that of the good shepherd w/halo and not hanging from a cross. Yes I like the Gospel of John , but as for the new or old testaments , you are overlooking the many previous philosophies that were as remarkable and enlightened as Christianity , and were incorporated everywhere within the Bible which comprise most of its better parts.
Do you think that all Romans & Greeks were utter Barbarians Santiago? And illiterate savages ? You wouldn't have an "old Testament" if it weren't for the Greeks anyways. Or the word "Christ".
The only difference was that Christianity shoved itself down everyone elses throats, until the classics were rediscovered and the Church could not suppress them any longer .
