French papers: Parisian rabbi may have fabricated stabbing report
By Avirama Golan, Ha'aretz Correspondent and Reuters
The French daily Le Figaro reported Tuesday that Paris police have doubts regarding a complaint by French Rabbi Gavriel Farhi that he was stabbed by an unknown assailant, perhaps of Muslim descent, on January 3. The paper based its article on a report run in the right-wing French paper Marianne, identified with rightist French politician Jean-Marie Le Pen. (**)
According to the report in Marianne, one of its journalists received a secret document written by a doctor who examined Farhi. According to the doctor, the wound on the rabbi's body did not resemble a stab wound, and the clothing that he was wearing at the time did not exhibit signs of being torn by a sharp weapon.
Howver, Le Figaro states that the report in the right-wing paper was problematic, claiming that it was based on "rumors," from a leak that breached medical confidentiality oaths. Furthermore, according to official sources in the Paris police department, they have not received such a medical report.
Sources close to Farhi claimed that the rumors were entirely baseless, and that the rabbi had no need to invent a fictitious stabbing. Paris police said that either way, the investigation was regarding Farhi as an assault victim.
Farhi , who runs a movement pushing for peace with Palestinians, suffered minor abdominal wounds after a man burst into his central Paris synagogue and cried "God is great" in Arabic before stabbing him.
Farhi said his attacker wore a motorcycle helmet with its visor down, covering his face, and spoke with a French accent. He said he had received an anonymous letter on the morning of the attack saying, "We will have Rabbi Gabriel Farhi's skin and avenge the blood of our Palestinian brothers. We will give him the Jihad punishment reserved for enemies of our cause."

(**) ROFL: "...the right-wing French paper Marianne, identified with rightist French politician Jean-Marie Le Pen." Frankly, Zionist artists are slipping... The Marianne weekly is a socialist/leftist tabloid founded by a prominent, 100%-kosher French Jew, namely, Jean-Francois Kahn (also the founder and former chief editor of L'Evénement du Jeudi) who has devoted most of his editorial energy to debunking and fighting J-M Le Pen.
Anyway, as I rightly suspected, that anti-Semitic attack was just another botched provocation by Mossad/Betar.
