| I have been a little busy recently, and just found out that my friend JLA was suspended for losing his temper with a person who constantly makes the most lurid charges against the current Administration, and against conservatives in general. I find it difficult to imagine how JLA's remarks, even if coarse, can be viewed as more offensive than the material he was reacting to. Some of us take personally unfounded charges against our government, that it is in effect run by fascists who are motivated only by avarice and power lust, and who would gladly kill foreign nationals, or put American troops in harms way, merely to satisfy their insatiable appetites to get ever richer. Many of us take it personally when conservatives generally are portrayed as racists, religious bigots, idiots, persons of means who are bent on excluding others, and so forth. If one is going to permit the goading, one should have the grace to roll with the occasional outburst of temper elicited, especially from a combat veteran, who put himself in harm's way for his country....... |
