Download Music? Go To Jail.
Rande, I agree there needs to be a solution here, but let's look at another side- the consumer side. Here's a situation that has been and still is being played out, perhaps millions of times over. Maybe the record industry could take a stab at answering these:
How come when my lp's got scratched or broken and became obsolete, I had to buy the same album now in 8 track form, which became obsolete, only to purchase in casette form until it started hissing and eventually was eaten by the deck and became obsolete, only to be purchased in cd form, which eventually will also either break, skip and will become obsolete, how come I have to continually keep paying for the same music? And how come (now pay close attention especially if you happen to be a cable TV provider, or put in any monopoly of your choosing) I can't purchase for a fee and download only the songs I want? Simple questions, the technology is there to do it-the trouble it comes down to profits won't be as fat! It seem's to me that both sides need alot of concessions, but seeing the record industry has the money, they ultimately will win.
