To the average consumer, what is the difference between Sprint data service and that offered by T-Mobile, Cingular, or ATT?

Price-wise, here are the differences (I chose to compare plans including 3-4 MB of data because, in my experience with ATTWS, 4MB from the handset is unlimited in practice):

Sprint Vision
unlimited
$10/mo

Cingular Wireless Internet Express
3 MB
$14.99/mo

ATTWS mMode
4 MB
$12.99/mo

Verizon Express Network
(not currently available from the handset)

So Sprint is the price leader in pricing and has the marketing gumption to sell it as unlimited. Although it is expressly forbidden in the Sprint contract to use the 1X phone as a modem to a computer, they are, for the time being, allowing this practice, in which case, it is easy to exceed 3-4 MB of data transfer. However, Sprint is expected to close this loophole soon, making this an apples-to-apples comparison.
