I feel you could easily squarely face SadDam's threatening words, accept the reality of his sneaking lying cover-up activities that go with those words, absorb the horror of his prior highly murderous aggressions, and remember 911(which taken together, ought be more than enough proof of need for any of us here, IMO). After 911 - and knowing well the many, many vulnerabilities the United States has - you should be clamoring for SadDam's immediate crushing(you would be more than justified). Scare tactics that employ "worry" over what we'll "start" by going after SadDam are misplaced. Valid worry revolves around what has already started. Valid worries revolve around what horrific events will take place if the likes of SadDam ARE IGNORED ANY LONGER. It is ludicrous to believe he is no threat to the United States(and we have his word that he is, no less. I note that I've always found that when one speaks badly of oneself, or of bad intentions for others, you can rely on the truth of such statements with great certainty) and the world at large.
