Sam,

Fundamentalists are not necessarily terrorists. Some terrorists are also philanthropists. Bin Laden built hospitals AND supported terrorism.

Bin Laden builds hospitals in areas where he was fighting for his foot soldiers, and not for the population at large. Likewise, the schools he funds are not really schools in any normal sense of the word, but instead are madrasas which teach a form of vitriolic hate the likes of which we have not seen for decades. If you really believe Bin Laden is a philanthropist, I would encourage you to dig a little deeper. The press reports he builds hospitals and it is taken at face value that he is a humanitarian. He has one cause, and that is his own. The hospitals and "schools" he funds are a part of this twisted vision.
