JohnM, No - that would make it look worse. Social Security is cap'ed, but not the others. On sales taxes - do you really want to go there and discuss the progressive scheme '80's era? Lets tax them rich bastards and put a big luxury tax on airplanes, certain cars and yachts. Result - no one really needs an airplane or yacht - so 50,000 blue collar workers lose their jobs building boats and airplanes. Some effect. In a relative sense some taxes were collected - in an absolute sense it was a huge failure (and was quietly discontinued). John
