As long as you accept the inherent danger, as I discussed before, of women trying to turn consensual sexual interactions into rapes in order to secure the right to an abortion. I would think that, to claim the rape exemption, the woman would have had to have reported the rape and given physical evidence at the time it occurred. She couldn't just say she was raped after she discovered she was pregnant. I think your speculation is about a scenario that is moot. An unreported rape would be considered to be consensual. More on point, speculation about what this legislation would do to reports of rape. Would women be standing in line every Saturday night to report rapes on the off chance that they might have become pregnant during an impulsive moment? Would we need more police and more jails?
