Fred, Ref: MU not being MUEI and my ignorance >>
Sorry I struck a nerve. I realize Mu isn't Muei, but with 40% interest by Micton technologies, guess who runs Micron Electronics. I was only presenting a senerio based on 27 years with Texas Instruments. Having been in design, product engineering and process development & direct interface with customers, I do have an understanding of the mindset in the semiconductor business. I don't declare the merger as a positive or negative, only presenting a viable senerio. You need not attack me, Intel is my largest holding and I have faith they'll make the best business decisions based on their historical performance. The new .25u technology, unfinanced, gives them an incredible edge. Also to memories. Now analog, my background, has bigger hills to climb. Seeing your background I'm sure you understand the problems incurred with differiental amplifiers using small linearity ranges of 24 bit resolution even with sigma-delta designs, but that's another thread called TXN or ADI. Your inputs are welcome, but you judge me with unfounded bias. Regards, Larry |
