Well it seems X was offended by the word "queer," a word that JLA used with perfect validity. He clearly was not referring to homosexuals but rather to NH demonstrators, most of which likely were not homosexuals at all. He called them "peace queers," and to many Americans that is quite what they are. They are peace queers in that they were protesting for peace against America as if America is the enemy when Saddam Hussein is clearly the enemy. To ban a guy for calling demonstrators "peace queers" is obviously ridiculous and so not only should the SI gods bring JLA back to life, they also should publicly apologize to him for bowing to the whims of a mere hypereacting mortal.

The words "queer" and "gay" are not words to be handed to homosexuals merely because homosexuals themselves have decided to add "s"'s to them. They are valid words, not boorish and intentionally hurtful abstractions of any commonly held term for homosexual. The comparison of the word "queer" to the terms "nigger", "niggra" and "niggah" is false because the words "queer" and "gay" are words that are not by any means attached by default to homosexuals, unlike how the word negro (from which we get the more boorish terms) was once attached to blacks. We are free to use the words to describe what to us is truly queer. So then even were we to use the word "queer" to directly describe a homosexual (which JLA obviously did not do here), that would be quite valid because to the vast majority of humanity "queer" is exactly what homosexuals are.

Now I don't use the term "queer" as a noun not because I find doing so offensive, but because for my general purposes on the homosexuality issue the word lacks precision. The word is not a noun, but an adjective. The words "homosexual" and "Sodomite" more accurately describe homosexuals and the fact that their behavior lacks integrity with fundamental human identity is what is truly and objectively queer.

Perhaps those of you who are offended by JLA's use of the word "queers" would have been happier with the terms saddambuttkissing "peace homosexuals" or "peace sodomites." Or perhaps you would rid us of these most valid terms also simply because the words make you uncomfortable.
