Bush administration currently is facing huge pressure from its major allies and the rising voice at home to drop the war against Iraq. I hope the new situation will change Bush's mind and he would drop the war plan. But that's just a hope. The other likelihood is Bush may instead speed up his war plan in order to beat the growing pressures. The picture will be clearer by the end of this month.

There are four known important events to watch: the Blix's inspection report on Jan. 27; Israel's election result on Jan. 28(Sharon may come out); Bush's State of the Union message on Jan. 28(in which Bush on war against Iraq is expected); and British Prime Minister Tony Blair goes to Camp David for further talks on Iraq on Jan. 31.
