Dear CC: I hope that is incorrect. Frankly, the more I see these weak kneed nations in Europe and the Middle East the more I am leaning toward the FORTRESS AMERICA concept once proposed by Buchannon. I have a feeling if we built up South America, Central America and Mexico with the funds we spend overseas we would have stronger, safer trading partners then now exist. I suppose the AMERICAS must represent a large proportion of the Worlds population and possibly sufficient for our foreign trade needs. Seems to me USA is now unappreciated overseas so perhaps we ought to let them settle their own matters and concentrate solely on ours. This would include leaving the UN. jdn
