that's a great article scoot and nice pictures. we spent a winter weekend in tofino a few years back (no, the porch party was a few years back) this was a bit longer. accomodations were great and the experience was priceless. the trail they are referring to wasn't built then. that's a good reason to go back. it's quite a drive from vancouver and takes the better part of a day to get there but worth it. this adventure has got "scott and yen" written all over it <s>. we hiked a portion of the west coast trail accessing it via canoe from the nitnat lake. that was many moons ago, when we were younger and more flexible. <g> thanks for posting. rosita
