Right now the most famous foreign policy guru at the University of Chicago is John J. Mearsheimer (according to tekboy he is very highly regarded) yup. 'course he's also a bit loony...but then so are a lot of people... :0) I just got an invite to a debate on Iraq in a couple of weeks, featuring Mearsheimer and Walt opposing war and Max Boot and Bill Kristol in favor of it. I felt like telling the organizer, "gee, should be fun, lots of fireworks, but wouldn't it have been nice to have at least one of the four speakers be somebody who knows something about Iraq?" tb@snicker.com PS Wolfie today was quite good in the speech, I thought, although arrogant and unconvincing in his responses to questions afterward...
