Since we "Dellites" seem to be ganging up on you, let me add my two cents worth. I've dealt with Dell several times and have been very pleased. On the other hand, I have read many irate dell bashing messages. Everyone's experience is different. Dell is the #1 rated computer seller in service by several rating agencies but if you are having problems that's no consolation. There is no company out there that doesn't have it's good employees and it's bad...or even just a good one having a very bad day. As a general rule, I think good service from almost any retail business is becoming a very rare event.

I'm going through a similar experience with Comp USA at the moment and even if I get what I want from them I will probably never darken their doors again because it's been such a hassle. I'm sure there are plenty of folks out there that swear by CompUSA but I ain't one of them. I also called the manufacturer of the product and was quickly informed that it wasn't their problem, call CompUSA. Thanks a lot Samsung.
