I'll second that on Dell!!! I have owned three Dell's over 10 years and obviously have been satisfied, My first Dell was purchased in a a retail store, Price Club, before they went direct.

Last year I purchased 14 Dell's, a server, and all the support hardware for a client. Dell was terrific while working with me to fine tune the purchase, and provided a contract installer in Denver who did the install without a hitch. I am far from a techie, and not a computer consultant, but was more informed than my client and with Dell's assistance was able to set up a great system with which the client is thrilled.

I also have a Compaq which is mediocre, and an IBM laptop I wish I never owned. And, oh yes, I have had several hassles with CompUSA. Their policies are very stringent and not very customer oriented.

Sooo, 007 on any given transaction in computer land you can have a bad experience. If you missed the deal you wanted wait awhile as there will be many others from Dell right around the corner. While you're stewing Dell has sold at least thousands of computers.
