Karen, HO was a committed hard line communist. The proponent of american democracy stuff has little to do with our institutions but alot to do with guerilla revolutoinary war by brave men. Communists can be brave too, but they are always misguided. As to the war, i am sure we agree--it was dumb policy. But have no illusions about HO and what happened to the poor folks of South vietnam after the Norths victory. Mass murder by any other name......mike
