Small Pox, Schmall Pox.....

Hi Karen,

I certainly don't have the answers as to whether there are any terrorist organizations that have access to small pox. Looking at the most likely sources, however, all leads point toward the crowd at Ft. Detrick and other secret U.S. government labs. They are the most likely source of any small pox release into the environment, much as they remain the leading suspects for the politically convenient anthrax attacks of 2001.

Whether or not they release the bugs is probably dependent upon the level of suspicion among the health community that this small pox scare is simply a transparent grab for sales by the right wingers who now own Bioport, the discredited lab in Michigan that was nearly shut down by the CDC and FDA for various regulatory infractions, and which has subsequently fallen into the hands of some very questionable contributors to the bribery machine that the Bushies maintain.

Asking cui bono? about the small pox terrorization of America yields the usual answer. Friends of GWB are the ones to profit from the terrorization.
