It's Not the Oil, Really....... Trust me. I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that the oil is a secondary interest of the Bushies. This prize is merely to be the spoils of a war of imperial conquest. What is really important, if one is to take the writings and speeches of the PNAC and CFR crowds at face value, is the importance of creating the world-wide imperial domination of the U.S. military ASAP. The idea is to strike while the Russians are still weak and before the Chinese gain the strength necessary to become the hegemon in Eastern and Central Asia. For the neocons, it's all about "total world domination" of all important resource areas. And did I mention Israel? Oil is just the prize, not the goal. -Ray
