The French and Germans collectively have $10 billion worth of reasons to protect Saddam. Clearly, even Powell is 100 percent on board with action now. The French certainly didn't hesitate to act militarily in the Ivory Coast when their economic interests were threatened... Of course, now they can blame the US when they crack down on their resident muslim population.
