Jacob-- I'm encouraged that Bush's ratings just dropped down 8% and I'm encouraged that, by abt. a 2:1 majority,. Americans don't want to unilaterally invade Iraq. The bloom is dropping off the rose. Americans won't just respond to slogans and platitudes when the risks are body bags, but want compelling reasons to invade. I support Bush's threat of force to get the inspectors in, and have previously posted about the motives for the French and German reluctance. Actually, the motives are the common ones, money and votes. However, rather than feed us WMD bullshit, he should appeal to the real anti-war AND anti-criminal Saddam reasons for replacing him. I am appalled at the indifference of the world to butchers. fred
