ah, but now you're talking about something different. if we were to occupy the oil fields and leave him hanging 'round, then yes, he might very well do something like that.

but the adminstration has stated quite clearly we aren't in this for the oil, we're in this to save the people of iraq, so that scenario isn't really in play.

just out of curiousity, did the dow jones exercise their journalistic due diligence and verify this directly, or did they settle for verification from "an unnamed source high up in the administration"?
