Appears WDC business is improving while the remainder of technology land continues to sing "woe is me". For WDC share price to take off, many more investors must become able to judge WDC singularly or in spite of its technology group. I held WDC in the early 1990s and remember it took about 3 years after its return to profitability before its stock price took off. (When this happens we must sell, and leave some on the table because it will crash again.) May be longer this time because WDC stayed unprofitable for so long before the turnaround.

The set top box, personal video recorder, XBOX, and non personal computer markets continue to improve and are carrying WDC along with them. Unfortunately, to most investors disk drives go into personal computers only, so we must wait to these other media get better coverage in the financial press. Just ruminations from a long time follower and on again off again owner of WDC.
