Tippet, lost confidence in policy makers..indeed.

My memory of the late 1970's was that there was little confidence in policy makers and that was one of the drivers in the last surge in metal prices..Then we had Reagan and Clinton, one good one for each side, and the stronger dollar and great stock market which instilled confidence. Today's drubbing in the DOW etc. suggests that faith in the goberment's ability to keep the train on the tracks in on the wain.
