I am on line now merely because I had some work to finish. I decided to answer my messages before shutting down. It is too late to go into it very deeply. Suffice it to say that the language was ambiguous, but excusable as an outburst, which was my original impression of the case. I altered my view somewhat when I learned that the phrase had been repeated a number of times. Nevertheless, I know jla well enough to know that it was not gay bashing, per se, but a shot at the manliness of peaceniks. In the end, I said that I might have asked him, by PM, to have desisted, but that I did not think it warranted breaking the inhibition against running to the Administration at least until one had objected on the threads, nor that it warranted such a long sentence, considering some of the stuff which is tossed around on these threads.
