SADAM WILL LIGHT UP HIS OIL FIELDS!!! Does anyone really think that a brutal dictator in the Hitler sense of the word is going to go down without a fight?? The first hint of US bombing and all the wells will be in flames. In fact this may be his only way to his distorted concept of victory. This could accomplish a few things 1. Cover Bagdad in smoke so heavy to make bombing impossible. 2. Reduce the effectiveness of other allied weapons, you cant attack what you cant see. 3. Create a sense fear for the U.S. troops. The troops are well trained but this added horror would really put them to the test. 4. Using the oil fields maybe a face saving method of not having to use chemical or biological weapons. Finally this is not my theory, oil spiked over a dollar today on this possible scenario.
